Diameter x Length:
Thermocouple sizes are noted as (probe diameter) x (max. probe depth). The maximum probe depth is measured from the OUTSIDE of your drum door or drum face. See below.
Adjustability:
Those thermocouples marked as “Adjustable” include a compression fitting behind the jam nut (shown above) that allows you to slide the fitting down the probe length and shorten the depth of the probe inside the drum.
Those thermocouples marked as “Fixed” will not be adjustable.
